WE ACCEPT A VARIETY OF PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

Cash is always welcome at the Cherry Street Farmers’ Market, but did you know that there are other ways to pay, as well?  The market, on both Saturdays and Wednesdays, can accept debit cards for those of us who don’t frequently carry cash.  In addition, the market is proud to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, also available to customers of both markets. See or click below for more information.

DEBIT PROCESSING

A wireless debit processing machine is available at the market manager’s booth.  After swiping a card through the machine, a customer will be given tokens that can be used to make purchases at individual vendors’ booths throughout the market.  Debit card customers will be given GREEN tokens in $5.00 increments.  Vendors are able to give change when necessary.  There is a $1.00 service charge for using your debit card, which helps to support and maintain the market.

SNAP BENEFITS

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, formerly known as food stamps, are accepted at the Cherry Street Farmers’ Market.  A wireless EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) processing machine is available at the market manager’s booth.  After swiping a card through the machine, a customer will be given tokens that can be used to make purchases at individual vendors’ booths throughout the market.  SNAP customers will be given ORANGE tokens in $1.00 increments.  Please note that vendors are not allowed to give change to customers using the yellow SNAP tokens and that these tokens can only be used to purchase approved products.
