ODDS & ENDS OF THE MARKET

Q: AM I ALLOWED TO BRING MY DOG TO THE MARKET?

A: Cherry Street Farmers’ Market does permit dogs at this time. Some vendors even leave out water bowls for their four legged patrons. Just make sure that Fido is well-mannered and secured to a leash. For you cat lovers, we do not currently allow any felines in the marketplace. Tell kitty it’s nothing personal.

Q: IS THE MARKET OPEN DURING BAD WEATHER?

A: The market is a ‘rain or shine’ event, so don’t let a little precipitation stand between you and fresh produce. We do care about your safety, however, so rest assured we’ll inform you of any market closings due to inclement weather.

Q: WHERE DOES THE PRODUCE AT THE MARKET COME FROM?

A: All produce and products sold at the Cherry Street Farmers’ Market have been certified as authentic Oklahoma stock. We stipulate that all growers who sell at the market must plant their crops in Oklahoma soil. For vendors who offer prepared foods, or packaged goods, we ask that they use Oklahoma based ingredients in their products. We do this to ensure that our local economy prospers from the market.

Q: WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED AT THE MARKET?

A. Cash is the most common currency at the market, but we accept debit cards, as well as SNAP tokens. The CSFMA booth is always open during market hours, and the kind people working there will happily process your debit/credit card in exchange for a variety of market-friendly currencies.
