Summer
is transitioning into fall and we couldn't be happier with a big
sigh of relief! Both the Cherry Street and Brookside
Farmers' Markets are also transitioning from summer to fall
produce. Tomato season is giving way to cool season crops
such as squash, melons, apples and so much more. Look for
pumpkins and gourds for seasonal displays.
Our event season has come to a close, however James Shrader owner
of the Palace Cafe and PARE is
preparing for a fall seasonal food demonstration using farmers'
market produce. The presentation is tentatively scheduled
for September 18th, from 9:30 - 10:30 am at PARE.
Mark your calendars and plan on attending. Chef Shrader is a
wellspring of culinary knowledge.
Music will continue at the Cherry Street market. Check out our
events page for weekly updates.
Remember:
Supporting Oklahoma farmers, producers and all the good people who
make it happen keeps it local and reduces the carbon footprint!
